Cologne-Prague-Bonn meeting 2025

Cologne-Prague-Bonn (CPB) meeting took place between November 24 and November 28, 2025.  CPB participants discussed topics concerning the dynamics in the dense nuclear star cluster environment in the Galactic center as well as new observational results concerning dusty sources. Among the participants were Andreas Eckart, Florian Peissker, Emma Bordier, Maria Melamed, Lena Großekathöfer, Naomi Schmökel, and Matthias Subroweit from the University of Cologne. The University of Bonn was represented by Pavel Kroupa, Benjamim Gaete, Wenjie Wu, Dong Zhang, and Sergij Mazurenko. Then Ladislav Šubr, Jaroslav Haas, Myank Singhal, and Dominik Černý represented the hosting Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague. Vladimír Karas and Václav Pavlík joined from the neighbouring Astronomical Institute, Academy of Sciences. Michal Zajaček, who represented the Masaryk University in Brno, reminded the participants about the approaching registration deadline for IAU Symposium 405 in Brno.

During the week there were several simultaneous events in Prague, including the meeting celebrating the Czech-Italian collaboration including the Ernst Mach award ceremony (awarded to Enrico Costa), 11th FERO meeting (Finding Extreme Relativistic Objects), and the Workshop on gravitational wave science and artificial intelligence in the Czech Republic.
