26 Feb Interactive Program and Poster List Published Based on the Scientific Organizing Committee evaluation of the submitted contributions, the preliminary program of the IAU Symposium 405 was published, which can be looked through interactively at https://gc2026.muni.cz/programme, including talk abstracts. We also published the current list of posters at https://gc2026.muni.cz/programme/posters.
13 Feb Social Program and Free-time activities For IAUS405 participants we prepared a rich accompanying social program, including the Welcome cocktail, Conference dinner, sightseeing tour, and the concert full of beautiful Czech and Moravian music. In addition, participants can plan various free-time activities to enjoy Brno and its surroundings even more.
6 Feb CzecHopes 2026: Workshop "Black holes under the magnifying glass" IAUS405 LOC members - Monika Viskotová and Michal Zajaček - prepared the workshop "Black holes under the magnifying glass" for about 30 high-school students within the CzecHopes 2026 event organized on the premises of the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University.
25 Jan IAUS405 Official Communication Channels We provide a concise overview of the official IAUS 405 communication channels as well as the payment methods. All of our services are provided by the Masaryk University muni.cz domain.
16 Jan Registration Closed We have received 206 registered contributions. The Scientific Organizing Committee will evaluate them by mid-February, with the preliminary program by the beginning of March.
3 Jan Season's Greetings and IAU Travel Grant Evaluation We wish the IAUS405 registered participants, invited speakers, SOC and LOC members a happy New Year full of scientific discoveries! On December 31st 2025 we stopped receiving applications for the IAU Travel Grant. We received 49 applications that we will evaluate in the first half of January 2026. Subsequently the applicants will be informed about the results.
